Abstract

Climate is one of the most important geographical factors influencing defense and military affairs. All designers in the field of defense and military in choosing doctrines, tactics and even in choosing the type of military equipment, clothing, maintenance, construction of facilities should always consider one of the concerns of strategic commanders For long-term planning, be aware of the climate calendar of different regions. In this paper, using the data of synoptic stations (temperature, humidity, wind, cloudiness, etc.) in a 10-year period (2001-2011), the effect of ambient comfort temperature in Kangavar region has been investigated and evaluated. Then, the climatic elements affecting military operations were determined and the probabilities of occurrence of parameters affecting military operations were calculated and then evaluated using the method of physiological equivalent temperature, climatic comfort and heat and cold stresses affecting military forces during different months of the year. Also, the study area was studied in terms of the desirability of climatic conditions for various military operations and based on the military climate index. In this study, data processing was performed using the Riemann model and the results obtained by three indicators SET, PMV and PET indicate that the best time to hold a combat camp in this area is May, October, November.
